I designed this quilt pattern in 2021 while I was going through my divorce. It gave me great joy to design and put things on my cant wait to make that list. And this one sat on that list for quite a while. I tried designing things in EQ8 but the size of it all kept crashing the program. And while the ladies at EQ8 were very helpful and very excited for my pattern they did suggest it was too many working pieces and that I would be better off designing it in Adobe, which I use for all of my other patterns.
So back to the drawing board and staring over. By the end of 2023 I had started thinking that this was next and I was also healing from the divorce trauma. This quilt had to come to life! And by January 2024 I had everything drawn up and was working on my first draft. I was still struggling to put the whole pattern together and in walks my Tech Editor, Kacy Crutchfield. She did an amazing job working through all 79 pages and giving me the best advice on how to better my pattern.
After that I was well into my second draft and getting real excited to share everything with yall. It is not the easiest pattern, but it is a great pattern to slow down and enjoy and trust the process.
